Chirp, Chirp. . .

Hello friends – I realize there have been cricket sounds coming from the blog, so sorry to neglect you Internet! The last few weeks have actually been my busiest all year in terms of shoots, but I haven’t shared all the fun holiday images just yet so not to ruin any surprises. With the season just around the corner, and holiday cards starting to arrive in post boxes I’ll start showing you what I’ve been up to soon.

In the meantime – I do have a special project I’ve been hard at work on to tell you about. As you may or may not be aware of, I was recently chosen along with 44 other photographers, to participate in a PHoTo LoVe contest organized by the amazing clothing designers at Matilda Jane. You can read all about the contest on their blog here and here, but the general details are they sent all of us the same gorgeous dress and it was up to us to create a photograph incorporating the garment. Once the submissions are in, they will be posting the images online for the public {that’s YOU!} to vote for their favorite. Obviously, the challenge was to create something to stand out from the 44 other photographs while remaining true to my style and point-of-view. I’m excited to finally be able to let everyone in on the photos. . . but not just yet- I know, I’m horrible! The contest deadline is Wednesday so soon I will post my image submission and thereafter shamelessly beg for your votes {truth be told, there will be a small bit of shame involved, but I’ll try to embrace the spirit of the game}. As the contest goes on I’ll reveal more of the images captured during the two shoots we did- it has honestly been a wonderful creative experience for me I look forward to telling you all more about it. For now, here is a little taste of what’s to come.

Oh, and thank you by the way for taking the time to stop by and check in – y’all always leave the most encouraging comments. I’ll be back with more VERY soon!
