Does this snow day make my butt look big?

Here in Tennessee we are experiencing the most snow we have had in eight years, a mind-blowing 9.3 inches. Mind-blowing, of course only to those of us who think of sweaters as winter outerwear, and should ever the need arise can be found scraping our frozen windshields with CD cases. And if the wind blows just right, you may hear the distant cries from mothers across the state as one snow day has turned into five, or six…or, honestly I’ve lost count. With the novelty of playing in the snow having worn off about 43 minutes into that very first “blizzard”, we are now relaying upon crafts, movie-marathons, and most importantly food, to get us from breakfast to bedtime holed up in the house.

I recently ran across a photo of cookies baked in a waffle iron, and pinned it away for a future cooking endeavor. Today as school was called off again, the waffle cookies were calling to me. Just as the two-bite brownies called to me last week and that entire tin of toffee-ettes the week prior to that. You know things may be the teensiest bit out of control when your turn on the Wii fit is taken with brownie in hand.

Spring, please show up soon – my jeans are begging you.

Brooke Um…yum. And sorry ’bout those Toffee’ettes. I actually just threw my last tin of them away this morning. I had to dump each one out and shove it them to the way bottom of the trash can so that I wouldn’t dig them out and eat them later.
