tutu power || Nashville Childhood & Lifestyle Photographer

hello friends! Today I’m posting a true labor of love shoot, and it feels freeing almost to release this little bird from the nest. The concept has been occupying creative space in my brain for close to a year now, ever since I was officially inducted into the “soccer moms” club (mini-van excluded…sorry friends, I’ll have to find my swagger elsewhere). Thinking about the initial inspiration out on a Saturday morning soccer field in early fall, to now seeing how five tiny powerhouses turned my simple paragraph into an entire chapter on modern girlhood brings me incredible joy and satisfaction.

Nicole, Maddie, Emma, Abbie and Chandler- I am inspired to know such smart, funny, talented girls. Hold on tightly to the sweet strength you all operate in…and run with abandon every chance you get.

I hope you enjoy the photos and slide-show and as always thank you for stopping by!

this is a favorite of mine – I told the girls I was shooting their shoes, so they could relax for a moment. Their quiet individuality still speaking volumes is lovely to me:

This next series, technical imperfections and all, makes me smile – the exhilarating freedom of racing down a hill… I need to try that more often:
